The horde entitled FROZEN ROCK came to being in St.Petersburg in the year of 2006. There were a few changes in the line-up, but it got stable by the winter of 2007.

The band gave birth to a couple of demos: “Freezing Fire Of Northland” and “Metalheading Northwards”. FROZEN ROCK define their own style as “North Inspired Thrash/Black Metal”. Actually, their music is quite influenced by Northern Black Metal, be that old Norway or Murmansk (is it because most of the guys come from Murmansk?), 80’s Black and Thrash Metal classics, and even New Wave Of British Heavy Metal. The lyrics include some personal experience, life philosophy and authobiographical sketches of the band’s leader, and of course some odes to North, Devil and Metal.
